I was going to add the name of Elliot, from Scrubs, to the Greatest American Sitcom Character list, but, after realising that no other female character comes anywhere close to her, for comedy value, I thought I'd see how many people on here agree with me, in considering Sarah Chalke, who plays Elliot, to be the funniest female on T.V.

Elliot does get some great lines, but I wouldn't have said the funniest.
Hasn't Scrubs finished now?

Negative. The funniest female is Sarah Silverman.

She's great! But she's not the best, at all..
Still, she has made a LOT of progress. She was mega wooden back when she was in Roseanne.
Sue White is one of the funniest characters on TV.

To be fair, most of them were wooden in Roseanne.

I'd say, all, apart from John Goodman (Dan) and Laurie Metcalf (Jackie).
Incidentally, I nominate Laurie Metcalf - also seen in wonderful Norm Show.

I think Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe in friends) plays a good part. Apparently she's won awards snd stuff 'cos she's not like her character at all.
Roscoff-does anybody elses dreams keep them awake?
