I read on CBC once that more Conservatives liked cats over dogs, and Liberals were dog lovers. They did a survey among those in the Canadian house of commons and it was overwhelming. Our PM (Conservative) is a huge fan of cats and fosters several in his home from the SPCA. I always thought that was neat.
