Just wondering why I seem to be practically the only person using an avatar? Is it just because no one else wants an avatar, or have you not seen how to get one, or maybe just put off by the size restriction?

I can't really be bothered either. You have to put all your energy into finding something witty and original and then you get bored of looking at it after two weeks thus forcing you to change it.

that's what I thought-I'm just all Lichtenstein-y
"Where were you at the time of the murder Reverend Green?" "I was in the library with Miss Scarlett...and a rope..."
"But he doesn't understand, Irwin *does* like him. He seldom looks at anyone else...Because nor do I. Our eyes meet looking at Dakin!"

It says avatar URL -no dropdown menu for me to fetch from my machine so can't be bothered - although for some odd reason I'm responding to your question. Just imagine a bald bloke riding down a wave on a bodyboard for me. If that's too scary I will be a £20 note, no, a fiver as we're writers after all.

Charlie, an avatar is a picture used to identify you. In the case of message boards - and indeed this one - it's used underneath your name to the left-hand side of posts. Hope that helps.

Exactly! I had to look it up in the dictionary. A word from Hindu mythology. I would like to point out that I am NOT a deity personified on earth or a representation. I am just a bald bloke. I also fail to understand why on some forums the number of posts a person makes is referred to as their 'karma'. Keep it Brit on the Brit sitcom board eh!? (No offence to the thousands of British Hindu comics of course)

Oh that karma thing some boards use is just weird. Don't see the point in it. Avatar is a fairly accepted, common and well-known phrase though, and I had no idea it came from Hindu mythology!

I had an avatar for about 10 seconds and then I realised no-one else had one so I took it off. Plus it was silly.
