Russell Brand is switching to video podcasts too I think, on his weekly show.
But it does mean you have to wash! And wear clothes.

Doesn't Ricky Gervais charge for his podcasts?
View original
From what I understand, he charged for it to make Karl Pilkington some money out of it, seeing as how he was the main source of the podcasts funny and isnt a multi-millionare like Gervais and Merchant.

I'm not saying there was anything wrong with charging a quid a time. Always thought Pilkington got a rough deal out of it, because as you said he was the funniest thing about them.
And far more intelligent and profound than he's given credit for - although maybe that's the joke.

mr collings, I've had at least 3 journeys home lightened by the C&H podcasts. Funny in general and very funny in places - there's nothing like laughing out loud when your standing on the edge of the tube platform (behind the yellow line, of course) to get elicit a few stares. How does it compare to other comedy spodcasts? very well, sound is fine and the banter between the two of you is great, I'm a fan of richard and only really know you thru your music journalism (and "i heart" appearances!) it works really well and is kinda how I think these things should be. I listen to the Adam & Joe 6Radio ones which are good, but too much reliance on comedy songs and we all know about comedy and songs...
The length is good. Keep it up!

Ooh, Adam & Joe are fantastic.
(I like their songs!)
Did anyone else used to watch Collin(g)s & Maconie on the tellybox talking about films and that?

Back on topic!
I listened to the latest, and the podcast has really grown on me guys loving it now.
Still one thing I want to mention is the microphone again. Would you guys consider purchasing a better one? It's just a dull annoyance more than anything but £30 - £50 would get you a good quality microphone and you would notice an instant quality improvement and you can rustle papers until the cows come home!
And I shop around for petrol!

Very funny and you should definately charge for a shorter version I think the sound quality is fine but I didn't listen to it on headphones.

Just listened to the easter one, liking it as usual guys.
Were you aiming the "we're only talking on this podcast mic for the podcast" at me?
If so... Sweet I've been dissed by a popular podcast.
And if not, what are these "other boards" you've been going on?
Try slipping in calling me a cock next week

Hi Andrew
Listened to to one of your podcasts on the train yesterday - dunno which one it was but I did laugh out loud a good few times - especially liked the image of the tramp pissing through a dead man's letterbox. So - for me anyway- keep them coming, they're a blast.
One small gripe - buy a half decent mic! Doesn't have to be pro quality - anything will do better than the built-in mic. You can get a half-decent one from Tandy's for less than a ton. That's only £50 each! And you can claim against tax!
I think.
