Would it be possible to minimise the profile bar? bit like messenger where you can get rod of the profile picture and make the text area larger. Just a thought.

Possibly. The design will be tweaked a little, but if I remember rightly, it's based on percentage of total screen width rather than absolute sizing, so if it looks too big that's your own problem. Use a smaller display.

Just an idea, but Google have now got an iGoogle home page, and it would be cool if BSG had a gadget (there is a place on the iGoogle home page where creator can create gadgets) and then I can have a link to BSG on my home page at work.

Google has a capital 'g'! *edits your post*
Anyway.
If you go to this page, click the "Add feed or gadget" link at the bottom of the left-hand menu bar, and stick our news feed - http://www.sitcom.co.uk/news/rss.xml - in the box which pops up, then that's pretty much what you want.
For the moment, there's really no other content which we can - or particularly wish to - serve to such a feature. It's just not a priority. But we do continually watch these kinds of things, and will build if we think it appropriate.

Dunno if anyone has mentioned it but how about being able to put a date in to see threads since then?
Not necessarily everything but sometimes on a popular thread you have to go back and back and back and back to find the last day.

Or you could click this little fella - - to take you directly to the first post in a thread since you last read it?

As one of the biggest* members of the message board I can't believe you haven't discovered this yet David! It's a real time-saver and helps you keep on top of what you have and haven't read.

Hm, interesting thought. I'll think about it. You could, of course, just turn on reply notifications.

Smart arse.
Actually, is that where you get emailed.
Oh, no, I hate getting emailed stuff from anything that isn't a person. Nothing worse than waiting for an email and it being from easyJet or some other rubbish.
Daleks are shit.

Yes, they're e-mails. I'll think about your suggestion though. What kind of indicator are you thinking of for it?

Well, just like an arrow or something. Anything that highlights which threads I've contributed to.
The green indicator thing to say which thread has new posts is great, but it's a pain having to remember where I've been.
