It would be nice if we could see them in 'format two'.

Barry - Interesting idea. I'll talk that over with Mark later.

Baumski - What smilies would you like?

Find some, and I'll consider it. As long as they're not too tacky. :P

Smilies - Maybe. What kinds of things do people want?
Avatars - Probably not. For the moment at least.

Maybe I'm a old fuddy-duddy knob, but can we *not* have bigger avatars and crazy smileys. I kinda like it like this and most discussion forums on the web have so many big, animated avatars, bonkers smileys all-in-a-long-row and ludicrously long signatures that I can't make out the discussions. For me, that would be downhill. :(

In fact, I suggest a restriction on one smiley at a time (ie not loads together)!

Don't worry. I'll admit that The Office is the greatest sitcom of all time before I stick those really annoying smilies on a board which I have any degree of control over.

(I.e. never.)

Right, a few new tags added yesterday, for the purposes of helping Mark and I keep the site running!

First, there's one for DVD covers - [+ai=ASIN]
Then the Amazon and Play 'buy' buttons - [+a=ASIN] and [+p=URL]
(Remove the + for use.)

To find the ASIN of a product, head over to Amazon, and at the bottom of each item's Product Details section, there's an ASIN value, for example ASIN: B000GYHTXQ

So, usage would be:
DVD cover - buy on Amazon
Buy on Amazon Buy on Play

(Quote this post to see the code.)

Although it's not mandatory, it'd be much appreciated if people can try and use these tags where possible. Aside from helping us to earn a bit of cash towards the site bills, it's quite flexible and easy to manage from a back-end perspective. (For example if we need to make a drastic overhaul.)

Thanks!

Lol. Do they mess up the boards or do you just not want to see a ton of voting threads?
