Doesn't clicking on the thread title in the main page take you straight to the last post, or am I not getting what you mean?

I noticed the thing about clikcing on the little green icon. But some threads move so fast it only takes you to halfway through it.

Clicking the thread title takes you to the first page but on the main forum pages there's links to the other pages underneath the thread titles. This little link doesn't appear on the Active Threads page.

It's not a big thing, just though I'd mention it seeing as you asked for improvement ideas.

Yes Mark, they're talking about the page numbers. Everything else is all there and working, navigation wise.

We already have one page of the 30 most recent active threads, it'd be quite nice to have a second page?

I'm back with my seperate board ideas... *wave*

Is it possible to have a board for Writers Discussion where we talk about the craft of comedy writing itself and a board for writing competitions where people can post all the activities you can enter scripts and sketches for?

I am finding that the discussion board is getting heavy with numerous things to enter (insert joke about one of our lovely female posters here), as opposed to debates about writing comedy and scripts itself.

Perhaps I'm alone in this though?

Might very well be able to split the forums up further, yes. Thanks for the suggestion.

That does seem like a good idea actually.

No, you're not alone, but when I mooted this very same idea several months ago in this very same thread Aaron poo-pooed it. But somebody else comes up with it and he's all over them. Yet more evidence of rampant anti-chipolatism on this board. :@

Did you? Perhaps you phrased it differently. Or put in some other caveats. Well, I'm considering most of what's been suggested here anyway.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, but is there a possibility of a function on the reply screen where you can preview your message, to make sure links and codes etc. have worked properly?

Also a way of showing if someone has posted a reply before you, so you can change your post to incorporate that, if necessary?

As I say, apologies if it's been mentioned before!

Post previews are coming. Reply check isn't really possible, and would be a bit kerfuffle when you can just edit and whatnot.

Aren't they already here? It's the edit button. If a link etc is wrong, just go in and edit it. I don't like the idea of a forum covered in whistles and buttons and levers.

What about ropes? Ropes are ok right?

The edit button does indeed serve the purpose quite well, but I can also why some people would want a 'preview' option... in fast moving threads it saves making a formatting disaster and if you're posting up a script you can check it all looks good before people pounce on it etc.
