If you were an actor, good or bad, and had the option of spending a number of years doing an extremely lucrative series of films, or a bunch of small ones, which would you choose?

I'd sign the contract in the big film and then sell the role to Johnny Depp as a much smaller creative film and pay him 10% of my money.

We're a bit more on topic than usual actually I think...still remotely Doctor related!

We're talking about gorgeous men. How is that not Doctor related?

Tobey Maguire was in Sea Biscuit and for that his place is reserved in Hell.

If David Tennant ever sells out and does a trilogy of not fantastic films I may have to renounce my adoration.

Does adoration include lust? Would you keep that?

I would have to keep the lust, I think. And lose the respect.

I would probably do the the lucrative ones! But I'm not an actor, and I like to believe that the actors I like would be better people than that and care about the art.

Etc.

I'm told it's pretty amazing.

I only saw bits when it was on.

I've only seen bits of it on YouTube, which I've more or less totally forgotten!

I saw it, it was pretty amazing. Awkward watching with my parents though, I distinctly remember boobies being flashed.

Ah, but the well-paid entertainment might then give them the chance to take a few years doing more arty stuff for less money. Long-term planning!
