No need for hiding!
Depp is the better actor, obviously, but Barrowman is soooooo lovely!
Anyway, the choice was between the Captain Jacks.
And Jack Harkness > Jack Sparrow.

Jack Sparrow is one of the greatest characters ever created.

Jack Sparrow is a bit wank.
(Sorry Aaron, and everyone else, apparently!)
It hardly showcases Depp's acting abilities does it?
The Pirates film/s I've seen have been enjoyable, but it's not exactly Shakespeare. I reckon Depp can do a lot better.

Correct. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is some brilliant Depp work.

Oh dear, that one was a bit poor wasn't it? This does not bode well for my English A level.
Sparrow? Wank? How dare you!

All of his films are awesome.
I don't really like when good actors get tied up in a trilogy that takes up about 8 years of their life and stops them making really great smaller films. (See Elijah Wood and Tobey Maguire also.)

I agree with that, the latter movies were not really needed.

If you were an actor, good or bad, and had the option of spending a number of years doing an extremely lucrative series of films, or a bunch of small ones, which would you choose?
