I thought this was one of the weakest episodes of the new Who so far. Not a lot made sense and it seemed thrown together on a whim after they thought of the title first. The ending was particularly annoying. We've already been set up for crap merchandise this series with those adipose things, now we've got a CBeebies spin off in the pipeline by the looks of it as well.

I'm a fan of Martha/Freema, but she was pretty ropey in this. Tate has been slightly less annoying in the last three episodes but my guess is this because she has had less screen time.

And on the camp v non-camp debate - to me it's camp to the nth degree. Even the idea of casting Catherine Tate is high camp.

Can't they find an excuse to bring back Tom Baker?

A Tom Baker, Brian Blessed special. Where they have to defeat the Ice Warriors, and Rhutans by shouting, really, really loudly. Then getting drunk and telling obscene anecdobtes.

That would be unfair on the Rhutans!

I thought, in The Doctor's Daughter, we were finally going to get a good old sad ending. Im not saying i wanted her dead, but COME ON. She came back to life! :S

The Doctor still thinks she's dead though. So, it's kinda sad!

I think this one was probably the least enjoyable of the series so far. Felt a little sag of the shoulders when we found out how she was his daughter - was expecting something a little jucier than that.
She was fit, but I didn't like her voice, it annoyed me for some reason.
And the big fish in boiler suits were rubbish.

I don't agree that DT isn't a good actor though - to say that is probably a little unfair. He's doing what he needs to do for this particular character and doing it well. It's a bit like saying Father Jack's a terrible actor when he's just doing what's required of him for Father Ted.

I went to the loo, and Katie came too (it was a public loo!)...I...shouted "Argh! It's too big for the hole!" - Robyn, BSG

The BBC iplayer hasn't been working for the last few days for me so I missed the last one (although from what I can gather I didn't miss too much).

As a little aside, I'm actually wearing my "the angels have the phonebox" t-shirt right now. Geek? Me?

This one was a bit of a cheat really, calling it The Doctor's Daughter obviously leads to expectations that aren't going to be fulfilled. Pity they didn't leave her dead at the end. As with the Master, it's just a case of when the character comes back again.

It better be in John Simm's body and not some other bastard's.

Or I will be complaining, most sternly, to RTD.

He and David had brilliant chemistry.

Flying off topic. What thing should they bring back ?

1 Adventures in the Tardis, let's see some really mental rooms.
2 The Rhani, especially her doing rubbish dress up as other characters.
3 Really mental guestr stars. Johnny Vegas, Jade Goody, Tony the Tiger.
4 Zylons.
5 Dinosaurs.
6 The Dr keeping plainly bloody stupid things in his pockets, suddenly becoming really good at martial arts, and using a huge scarf for lots of daft purposes.
7 Jamie McCrimmon, Leela, or just a couple more fighting assistants.
8 Turlough, miore ginger public school evil aliens right now!
9 Time Lords in silly costumes.
10 All of these in the same episode at the same time.
11 Multiple Dr's episodes, including CGI versions of the dead ones.

The ASDA of satire.
