Corrie did a live one once.

Did Will & Grace have to be performed twice for the time differences in the two US time . . . areas . . . thing. East and Central, is it?

Yep, I seem to remember that they did.

The Bill has done a couple of live episodes.

I'm not a big fan of Will and Grace but I did watch the live ones (obviously not live by the time they found their way to C4 though). I liked them - there's a bit of extra edge and watching the actors trying not to corpse was fun.

Every week live though would be boring. Plus it would limit things in terms of stunts, locations etc.

You saw it recorded! That must have been great to see Nick Lyndhurst! What was the experience like?

i did indeed, saw all of them. expect i shall see the rest as well. ... Post edited at request. - Aaron ... i'd recommend going to see one if you're into sitcoms, it's interesting to watch the detail like how nervous people are, how they try different things out in different takes and most importantly, how they react to a live audience, as this is such an unusual factor in filming nowadays. plus its free and reasonably central now that it's filming at bbc tvc.

It was at Teddington for series one, I think? *scratches head* I know there was a reason I didn't apply for tickets. Or was it Pinewood...

That was rubbish.

Middle-class people talking 'street'? How tired is that?

James Hendrie and Ian Brown are show runners it would seem. Doesn't bode well for the rest of the series.

Well, personally I thought that that was brilliant. Some really great scenes, particularly Alex and Jimmy using the laptop. *lol*

Yes, middle-class, middle-aged people talking "street" has been done before, but then this time it was actually integral to the plotline, not just used in a pathetic attempt to look cool or generate amusement purely because it's-an-oldie-trying-to-speak-da-yoot.

Have to say though, I hought that Celia/Diana looked a bit odd. Not sure if it was makeup to look tanned or what? :S Alex seemed a bit toned down from last series I think too. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing yet. Maybe it was just tonight's script though?

Either way, can't wait for next week. :)

Innit.

I liked it.

I thought the character played by the one from Two Pints seemed different. In a good way. Less cartoonish.

really? ouch.

I play Alex in the show, was wondering what people's opinions were, thought it would be a good idea to get some feedback and see what I'm doing right/wrong.

..Maybe I should start a thread.. or maybe that would be a little narcissistic?! :S

I'm sure some people can be objective and give you some constructive criticism (or just plain adoration, as applicable!), so go ahead! :)

Bloody TV folk come on here, making threads about themselves! Who'd do a thing like that?!!

*innocent*

I haven't watched it yet, but can I ask? Do YOU like the show? That's probably a weird question for this time of night on the Internet, but if this is the most weird thing you'll see tonight, consider yourself on the wrong site. But to add to the actual question, was it the part or the script you found most appealing?
