Elliot just (however wrongly) conceded so you can say it still!
"Where were you at the time of the murder Reverend Green?" "I was in the library with Miss Scarlett...and a rope..."

The Wireless Theatre Company press launch in Chiswick. Lovely club and made a few useful contacts. Nicholas is their patron and did a little speech and was in a sketch too.

All debating is overblown! Yestrday in order to show that, I had to argue that I'd take the vote away from women.

You mean they've got it? No wonder the country's in such a mess.

I can't resist coming and having a look at what you're all doing in my lunch break.
Do you think that means I'm addicted?

Yes. Although you're not quite like me yet, or you'd have found a way to come here whilst at work.

We argued that freedom of expression should not compromise right to life, and safety in that life; we argued about children being protected; we argued about the two tier problems of violence and then discrimination...
My opening line was "sticks and stones would break my bones but words can never hurt me"; which I completely subverted and picked apart, and was really proud of actually! The American guy who I'd told I couldn't think of any rhetorical questions, anecdotes or witticisms looked very smug.

Ellie's just slapped sootyj's wrist for his daft thread starter-uppery. Gently, like, as she does.
My question is, how do we judge when a subject is specific enough for its own thread? I mean, there are four pages at the moment on what Griff should have for his lunch. And that was resolved after three pages.
Personally, I like a big load of burbling nonsense, but I'm genuinely confused by the rules.

Haha Bandage's avatar is perfect for that post.
To answer your question. If you want to post a general link or just make a random comment, use the general, general thread. If you want a full on discussion, make a new thread.
Ellie is too strict I think, she's also lazy.

There aren't really any rules. The general forum just sometimes gets over run with a lot of stupid threads and it becomes too much for new users.
It's just a gentle reminder that stuff that is just a "passing comment," for example, should really go in general, general.
We're all here to have fun, not to have our wrists slapped...
