Funding for arts that I approve of is very very very good.
Funding for shit art is.... shit. Or things chosen purely to match PC guidelines of what they should be funding. Gah.
Like 9 yr old blind lesbians getting 50 grand to do a mural on a council block wall*.
*may not be a real example.

It's a terrible idea, and an abhorrent waste of public funds. Down with the arts!
Aaron don't be an idiot. Good idea, let's close all the theatres, then we won't have any actors, and all your sitcoms can be performed in CGI by Britain's ever-growing army of humourless IT wonks.

Even about the companion? I didn't know he was living with a priest.

Yup. And reports of very dodgy dealings and barely-legal (not related to sex) things going on.

Theatre doesn't come under that particular "arts" umbrella.

The annual Arts Council budget is such a tiny fraction of the national budget that even giving it to loonies to make statues out of frozen piss makes almost no difference to anything. We should give more money to loonies and spend less on regenerating shitholes like Derby.

It would really upset me if I was walking through town, looked up, and saw that.

But it moves! And it's 'waking up' on Friday to crawl down the building and into the city centre! How cool is that?

Was that a Scouse/stealing gag?
You should have gone for "It needs to move otherwise someone'll nick it".
You'll never make a hack stand-up at that rate.

It was, but I cleverly subverted it by putting 'etc'.
A bit too good.

Does anybody else know The Lords Prayer? I went to a funeral this week and at the end we all said this prayer. Everybody else knew it word for word, except me.

I know it, because I went to a C of E primary school. It was drummed into us.
In a relationship.
"Every joke is a tiny revolution," thought George Orwell. "Whatever destroys dignity, and brings down the mighty from their seats, preferably with a bump, is funny."
