Would you say Radiohead is a great band, or Radiohead are a great band?
(If you liked them.)

I just like to keep in touch with both sides of my sexuality. You never know when it's going to come in handy.

Thats why you were wearing blusher when we first met. And gave Bussell a hand job. I didn't like to ask at the time.

Why the hell didn't they do that at the meet up?

I would say Radiohead are. I'm always confused as to why Americans use 'is' in that sort of situation.
I've now realised for the first time in my life the vital importance of being Earnest.

I know nothing of them to make such a judgement of course, but for the purpose of argument.

Well, Ben didn't call him the next day. There's been some amount of tension ever since.
Tragically I was an only twin.

I always thought Americans say are.

It should be 'is'. Plural subjects take the singular verb. Or was that Latin? In newspapers, football teams are referred to with 'is' on the news pages and 'are' on the sport pages. TRUFAX.
So perhaps it's "Radiohead is" on the news pages, and "Radiohead are" on the pop page. If such a thing exists these days. I've no idea, I haven't listened to Radio 1 since David 'Kid' Jensen left.

It's a collective singular. That's why the verb is singular. *nugget nugget*
Edit: Argh. I meant plural. The verb is plural. In English. In German it's singular.
I peel people.
