I bought one of those cheap compilations in Woolies for £3.
It's a Rod Stewart one from the 60s. All pre-fame stuff from people connected with him and there's a great version of Cry me a river by Long John Baldrey and Steampacket.

Do you break out in a semi whenever you see an album you don't already own?

The Divinyls are absolutely shit and that record is a crime against humanity. I was living in Oz when it came out and suddenly everyone reckoned they were the new Beatles or Stones because finally an Aussie band had managed to make a record people in other countries could bear to listen to for once.

I touch myself is pleasantly mediocre in a mediocre sort of way.
The ASDA of satire.
I hate purity, I hate goodness!I don't want any virtue to exist anywhere. I want everyone to be corrupt to the bones.
But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.

I remembered reading years ago about Elton John going and spending a couple of thousand pounds on records. Oh - how I envy him (for that only I might add!)

How about them? Like U2 made a career out of suffering - and made us suffer too.

U2. Now there is a band who really are unutterably unarguably shite. And more to the point, their lead is probably the second biggest cunt to have ever graced this planet.
