The meet-up has flooded so many threads now!

It's a little bit of drama for the forums, that's why.

I'm not sure how "I'm going up to London to meet a bunch of strangers from the internet" will go down with my parents...

*huh*

I presume you're joking? Seeing as you're not 7 or something.

Well. I don't think they'd be enthusiastic.

But he's not a proper adult either.

Just lie Elliot! When I was 15 I met up with a load of people I met on the forum for the band The Others, I don't think my parents would have been impressed had they known the truth but some people I met then have turned out to be some of my best friends. Rebel!

p.s. listening to Lucky Man by The Verve.

I'd never known whether P.S. had to be in capitals, this forum's better than school!

I just always said I was going to stay at my friend Matt's house, who my parents knew, but he always came to London too. I didn't really feel that guilty for lying to them for some strange reason. I'm a heartless bastard.

I would feel *so* guilty! I do when I haven't even done anything wrong!

It's not that I'm not prepared to lie. But, to be honest, I much prefer talking with all of you around here. It's a level playing field here. I get all weird in the company of adults, which you all are. Obviously not you specifically. Do you see what I mean?

As with N.B., many people will accept both, but capitalised is more correct and more formal, I believe.

Pfft. If I'm willing to meet people, you can too! You'll be laughing and chatting and joking along with everyone.

Besides, most of them have a mental age of about 12...
