And not in the least bit condescending!
Oldies can enjoy trash too, surely?

Hee!
In all seriousness (and Torchwood discussion isn't really the place for that) being condescending to us (well, me) is just a bit mean. It's cool, and even brilliant if you don't like the show, but suggesting that anyone who does appreciate it is lacking in intellect, and so naive that they think it's great literature, just isn't nice.
I agree about Owen as a womaniser though. He's well ugly...

Hey i didn't say that people who liked it were lacking in intellect or naive or anything 'long those lines. I just said the show didn't have anything to offer an above-average-intelligence 41 year old straight man. I doubt that the production team would disagree - it's aimed at 24 - 32 yr olds according to the BBC.
If Eva Myles gets her tits out - or even deigns to give a 'brief tasteful glimpse of her vag', or Russell T commissions a script from Chris Boucher I'll perk up immediately. I do want it to work you know. I hate the thought of the schedules being swamped by strictly come dancing and 'my dad's a wanker'-type of shows.

Martha Jones made me miss most of the last series of Doctor Who. Tonight's episode reeeeally confused me at first, and I rather felt that something was missing from it. But still good.

I find that surprising, as shes such a bright, full of life character; certainly no worse character or acting wise to Rose/Billie I dont think. And if she did make you miss most of last series, then did Blink, Human Nature 2 parter and the final three Master episodes slip you by? Because altogether they were the best run of episodes Dr Whos had since the series came back.

New time slot? Its on at nine o'clock at night. Are you thinking of the re-edited early evening repeats, with bits of the violence/sex bits trimmed so kids can watch?

Much worse, IMO. Inherently annoying. Couldn't stand anything about her.
