Rays bro Robert in the show has the scariest voice ever. On his wedding day when he and his new bride Amy were doing there first dance I must say it was brilliant.

Sorry... NOT!

Aw, I always really enjoyed Just Shoot Me! Found Everybody Loves Raymond to be watchable, and I do enjoy it, but just feels like it's missing something.

i find it quite bland. having said that, as an out and out traditional middle of the road sitcom, it is pretty decent.

i prefer king of queens by quite soem distance.

Yep, I rather prefer The King of Queens too. (And not because of Carrie.)

A decent comedy with steady humour. I remember watching it with 4 guys while living in Toronto. Two guys who had office jobs, the other two were Construction workers. The office guys loved Raymond and the Construction workers couldn't stand Raymond. They kept yelling at the screen saying "Why's this guy such a little bitch!?". Different strokes for different folks I guess. :)

I like it! It's easy watching and every so often gets a laugh out loud.

I forget. They did explain it though, and it made sense!

Ummm!!!- Has its moments, but is packed with the kind of awful American humour that sadly 'Friends' is packed with. I do love Robert though. The actor who plays Raymond was in an edition of 'Guiness Book of Records' for being on the most money per episode in any show for appearing in 'Everybody Loves Raymond'

Janine Riley knows what I'm talking about don't you don't you. And Tony Lynch, TONY LYNCH, he knows.

I quite like it, but you really need to get into it, in order to get some fun out of situations - if you watch it casually, it seems much less funny. (OK, I'm not saying it is particularly deep or anything ;))
We're currently watching Season 8 (last but one), and I can say the best seasons were between 4-6 - those were the wildest. Roberts is great, no doubt, but Frank, the father, is the icing on the cake for me.

Also it helps when you recognize some of the characters in real life around you. I have a "virtual" friend from States who claims Marie is nothing compared to her mother-in-law. One of the her favourites was:
"teri, your mother has such beautiful skin. it is one of the advantages of being fat. you don't wrinkle so much"

:D fantastic. Can you imagine Marie saying that? Very easily.

PS. King Of Queens seems such average infantile-husband with wise-wife and pervert in-law sitcom. Carrie is not my favourite looks-wise. Just Shoot Me! had a great start, but getting rather bland as well (I'm on season 4). Likewise, Less Than Perfect (seen the first three seasons) started great, but lost it somewhere in Season 2.

I think David Spade is hilarious, in Just Shoot Me. It's a shame his comedy partner, Chris Farley, from Saturday Night Live, died.

Um... did Chris Rock call his show Everybody Hates Chris, because of this show?

Am I a complete numpty for only just realising that?
