Man4: Hi everyone, sorry I'm late. Got held up on the phone - how's it going?
Chair of meeting: Well, it's going well so far, we're just tieing up a few loose ends for a documentary we're doing for C5. All we need is the incidental music and it's in the bag.
Man4. Oh right, what's it all about?
Man3: Well, it's about a place in America, a hotel, that's being used as a kind of therapy centre, offering counselling and that sort of thing for people who are suffering from depression, after the end of a long term relationship. Just people who are absolutely heartbroken, and are finding it difficult to move on with their lives.
CHAIR: Yes, just before you came in I was about to ask Paul our music man if he had any ideas.
PAUL:Well I'm sorry I haven't seen the rushes yet. I get the general idea, but I'm really struggling on this one.
Man4: I can't believe what I'm hearing. It's bleeding obvious isn't it?
EVERYONE LOOKS EXPECTANTLY TO MAN4.
MAN4: Hotel California!
EVERYONE: Brilliant!
MAN3: Oh shit, no we can't use that. You see the problem is, the hotel is based in Memphis Tennessee.
MAN4: Oh right sorry. Yes I see what you mean.
CHAIR POINTS TO A FLIPCHART: Look we have a street map there we're using in the credits. That's the hotel just there, down at the end of Lonely Street.
MAN4: Look why don't we come back to this one. What else have we got lined up.
PAUL: Well i'm glad you brought this up because I've been up all night trying to think of a theme tune for this doc' we've been working on about the smuggler.
MAN4: Oh right tell me more.
PAUL: Well it's about this woman called Lucy who was an air hostess in the 1960s. Apparently she used to use her transatlantic trips to smuggle diamonds into the UK.
THE ROOM IS FULL OF BLANK FACES.
MAN4: Oh god I'm struggling with that one too, lets break for coffee.

I did like it a lot DT, but it is very similar to that. Could you not try to market it as being for those characters?

I love the sketch. Think it could go much meaner, ie, playing up the gap between the processs of creating the actual content of the doc/production and the creation of the title and title music/post production.
It reminded me of the Ianucci "We're So Good at Telly" sketch.
Have not seen the Mitchell and Webb sketch show. Can't get passed Numberwang but realise that's akin to saying I don't like Gavin and Stacey all that much - which I don't.

Yes, it's my version of one of their running skits. I've only ever seen two of their shows, all that numberwang bollocks is well,,,bollocks in my opinion. To me they are the newman and baddiel, of the noughties. i.e. only one of them is (naturally) funny. Although they are making a living out of being funny. Which is nice.

Although if you're northern I expect puff/poof sounds somewhat similar.
