I rather enjoyed it. A few laugh out louds, good characters, and crucially accents not too thick. Nice programme.

No no no no no. It didn't work for me at all and I found myself turning over and watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles after ten minutes.

I liked it. It wasn't side-splittingly funny that's for sure but it benefited from having 2 fine actors, engaging characters and quite a nice gentle tone. I will watch it next week and am interested to see how it develops.

Didn't impress me too much. Some good lines but, from a writers point of view, I can't believe they got away with so much exposition at the beginning: "So tell me why you do this job", "well, I've told you before but I'll just repeat it again." That was one of the first things you are told not to do. It just didn't get me interested in the characters, and there didn't seem to be a plot.

Wasn't so fond of this week's episode. Wasn't watching properly though. Still entertaining, even if it's going at a slow pace.
Aaron approves.

I enjoyed it again. A big part of that is down to the actors I'm sure but I also like the gentle, meandering style of the show.

I am enjoying this show the only problem for me is that it collides with the big bang thing which I also like. otherwise it is a funny and entertaining show.

The Big Bang Theory is repeated numerous times through the week of course - and there is 4+1.

I caught up on this series tonight. To me the writing was let down by some terrible, over-the-top acting.
If the script had been left to carry the show it would have worked out, but instead Gregor Fisher and Billy Boyd hammed it up so much it was hard to watch.
On Wednesday 31st December 1969 GMT at 7:00 PM GMT, Andrew22k said:
yea the writing is the best part about the series

Again, yeah, good stuff. Nice gentle comedy for me, but not the typical 'gentle' studio fare. Thing. Yeah, anyway. I like it.
On Wednesday 31st December 1969 GMT at 7:00 PM GMT, Perry Nium said:
I think I've worked out the problem with this show - for me, anyway. The pace and rhythm of the script would far better suit a studio audience. For me the dialogue just isn't naturalistic enough to carry a laughter-free show. That's what's missing in my opinion. WE're getting typical feed-line / punchline type gags that you'd naturally expect to hear in a live studio audience situation, only with no audience.
That feels really weird to me.
On Wednesday 31st December 1969 GMT at 7:00 PM GMT, Rockabilly said:
Yes, something has been nagging at me with this one, I WANT to like it, but It feels forced and very ''music hall'' at times , probably because the last episode was set in a theatre ?
I think it would benefit from a more subdued delivery ,and less Max Wall impressions, I found that a bit cringy.

i really liked this show, the characters were funny and endearing, I hope it gets another series.
