Collings & Herrin Podcast

The new Collings & Herrin Podcast is now ready for listening/downloading. I apologise in advance for its interminable length (51 minutes - we just couldn't stop and there was nobody there to stop us!) and the fact that it gets a bit rude towards the end. We have decided that our podcasts will now have a watershed, and the watershed for this one comes at 40 minutes. Cover all children's ears at that point.
The quality is still as good as the in-built mic on Richard's laptop, but personally, I think it's amazing that it comes out as clear and balanced as it does.
I'd be interested to know if you think it's any good. To be honest, all we're doing is trying to recreate the "live" banter we used to enjoy on my old 6 Music radio show, except without music. I don't listen to many comedy podcasts, so if you have any recommendations that might make ours better, I'd be interested to hear. (Sorry if this has been covered in another thread.)

From what I understand, he charged for it to make Karl Pilkington some money out of it, seeing as how he was the main source of the podcasts funny and isnt a multi-millionare like Gervais and Merchant.

How does it compare to other comedy spodcasts? very well, sound is fine and the banter between the two of you is great, I'm a fan of richard and only really know you thru your music journalism (and "i heart" appearances!) it works really well and is kinda how I think these things should be. One small gripe - buy a half decent mic! Doesn't have to be pro quality - anything will do better than the built-in mic. You can get a half-decent one from Tandy's for less than a ton. That's only £50 each! And you can claim against tax!

Number 8 should be better than the previous seven, as the mic in my laptop is better than the mic in his, for some reason.
I have listened to them on my iPod, so I know what they sound like, and I truly think that amateurishness suits the content.
