As someone who doesn't find the show funny, I don't find them attractive either so they must appeal to their fans through humour alone.

Still, their DVD is marked 'Hip, Sexy, Magical', and it does seem odd that in the avalanche of adjectives the reviewer couldn't have at least put, I don't know, 'funny'?

I wouldn't have thought his whole review was those three words!
Although if it was, I'd like that job please.

The dvd producey people* chose that bit.
*And that's their official title.

Well, I'm sure it is! You jammy bugger.

About episode 3 - I really enjoyed it. Some very funny bits. Too many songs though. But it was nice to finally find out that it is called crimping.

I did like Howard's 'It's What's Inside That Counts' song.
And him calling Vince a shallow prostitute from the future. And Gary Numan! And Rumbelows. And the Moon.

what did you think?
i didn't enjoy it as much as 1 and 2. it seemed very self indulgent. i was never keen on those "crimping" songs.

I suppose it was a bit self indulgent. If you mean the bits I think you mean. Like lots of self referential bits. But I liked them. Lots of people do copy Vince/Noel's style.
I also like the '2am? That's our slot!' line. As it was very true last year.

there were definitely bits i liked but it didn't give me the same feeling as the first two. the first two had those lovely mental twisted ideas which make it so different. i didn't like it that the boosh were famous in episode 3. they've never really done that before. i think thats why it felt self indulgent to me. the fact that they were booked to do a show, that people were copying them, that they were in a magazine. it didn't feel like it was about 2 former zoo keepers working in a shop. maybe it felt inconsistent with everything that's gone before. and the pop stars just turning up for the sake of it is starting to annoy me. thats what the simpsons did when it ran out of ideas.

I watched the first two episodes of the first series boxset and had to turn it off as I found it too weird and unfunny.

So I wasn't expecting to like series 3 but so far it's been brilliant!! Now I have to go cap in hand back to my mate and borrow the boxset again hoping I'll get it this time round.

I don't know if series 3 is more mainstream than the last? The musics cool, I now want to start my own crimping band.

Ah, I didn't actually notice that.

In the radio show, they used to play gigs. And, I'm sure in series 2 they mention doing it too.
I always think they're only 'famous' in like Shoreditch or, in their street. Rather than properly.

"Where were you at the time of the murder Reverend Green?" "I was in the library with Miss Scarlett...and a rope..."
"But he doesn't understand, Irwin *does* like him. He seldom looks at anyone else...Because nor do I. Our eyes meet looking at Dakin!"

Just watched episode three, my favourite of series three so far, I loved it, and great to see Bob Fossil back-why isnt he in every episode?! And bring back Bainbridge! But yeah, great episode; very, very funny.
