Just walked outside and saw the first clouds from Hurricane Dolly rolling in. Hopefully it won't affect my flight to New Orleans tomorrow morning. At least we'll get some desperately needed rain.

Hope you're not in her (Dolly's) path?

It's expected to pass about 150 miles from here, so we're safe. Just a few inches of rain and 30-40 MPH winds. The biggest worry would be the tornadoes that hurricanes often spawn.

Well, I bet you have plenty of super secret NASA gimmickry to detect and fend off those. Or at least to get out of there first.
I wish I worked for NASA. So exciting. Also a bit of a creepy organisation, though.

I work for a private company, but we do a lot of work with/for NASA and other space organizations.
What's creepy about NASA?

I've written a paper about risk research and safety management recently. And NASA is always cited when it comes to almost farcical (if it wasn't so tragic) organisational failure.
Hey, if you work for other space organisations, too, can you look after my friend, when she's on the moon for ESA? (If she makes it through the 'casting' process...)

I'm finding it really hard not to comment in the PG 13 thread...cause whenever I do it becomes rude.

I hope that statement is not related to Ellie's censoring herself out of the PG13 thread...
