Lupe Fiasco and Royce 5"9 if you are into your hip hop

I seem to be one of the few Hip hop fans on here. I'm mostly into underground stuff, on independent labels, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=488iwyyRkMA

Just to highlight how underground those guys really are, here's a vid of one of them appearing as a contestant, on The Price is Right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSml4Xp5BaA&feature=related You wouldn't catch Lupe Fiasco doing that!

Good shout I liked them, they have a real 90's feel about them like blood of abraham or souls of mischief.
Now let's get Busta rhymes on Deal or no deal and snoop on countdown.

Hold on, Blood of Abraham??? You remember them?? You must be a real Hip hop fanatic. I've never met anyone who owns their first album, besides me. I found their 'Stabbed by the Steeple' video recently, on Youtube. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJVfAuUpoZQ

Lupe was great at Glastonbury I must say. Also the new Busta Rhymes song "don't touch me," is immense.

I know my onions fella, do you remember a young Jay-Z in this?

Early 90s hip-hop was the golden era IMO. I did own blood of first album thought it was wicked.

For an English graduate, there are at least 6 trillion meanings in it.

Yeah, I loved that song, back in the day. It's a shame Jay-Z didn't keep making music like that. Then again, even he admits that his lyrics would be better, if he hadn't been seduced by the money and the fame he got from going Pop, rapping about champagne and wheel rims, like every other boring chart MC.

The first half of the '90s definately was the Golden Era for Hip hop. One of my Great Aunties died in '93, and left me 4 grand in her will, and I must've spent well over half of it on CDs (I switched to buying vinyl, in '95, after I bought my first turntables, and later started entering DJ battles, but that's another story), as I was buying a couple of albums every week without fail, between '93 and '95. Of course, back then, MTV was still allowing the good stuff to be played, and a good mate of mine used to record Yo! MTV Raps for me, every week, so I was always up on the latest stuff.

Anyway, I'll see your Original Flavor video, and raise you a Goats video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OslVwbS4fzc

Slightly off topic.

Just seen a DFS advert using Rockstar (Nickleback I think) as the main focus. I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to the song again :(

By the way, they've got a sale on ;)

Nickelback, but yeah. Good song. Is it just 'cos it's been on an advert that you're put off it?

'Someday' I like. It's got a nice rhythm and Rockstar is quite clever I'd say.

A bit too good.
