Aha, well, there'll be some things like that. Perhaps not quite so random as the axe, but I think they'll suit most people.

Couldn't we have a chronological post count button? So we can see what our 53rd post was, and what our nine hundred and tenth was?
 

How about a general chat room, irc stylie, where people can say hello, banter, bye, etc without it being logged in a thread for the entire world to see? All the threads seem to go off on to general chat anyway so it might keep them on-topic at the very least
 

Sounds more like a novelty than anything actually functional?

I've considered that, but there are too many negatives and possible problems and effects to make it worthwhile.

Besides, although we may be trying to clean up the comedy-specific forums a little, there is and has never been any problem in things going off topic!
