I tend to ignore the PR for the American shows and movies that land in my inbox, but the trailer for The Love Guru (not to be confused with the 2002 Jimi Mistry and Heather Graham film The Guru) caught my eye... Mike Myers plays his first original character since Austin Powers in it.
The trailer is here:

I can't work out if it's good or bad from the above, but its clearly got a strong Austin Powers feel to it (I detect some Dr Evil) which is a positive I'd say.
What do you think?

I would actually pay to go and see that. Looks brilliant.
And Omid Djalili in the credits too.

I like Mike Myers, the first Austin Powers was a great film, so I hope this is good.
Tragically I was an only twin.

Ben Kingsley! I liked the bit where he's using the "midget," as an Oscar trophy. "Put me down." "Okay." *falls to floor*

I can't wait! It looks like it will be really funny. Plus the story takes place right here. *points to the ground*

I haven't got much to say about The Love Gurus, but I thought I better add a post because Mark's threads always struggle to get into double figures.
Although on the subject of Myers, it's always mightily amused me that he used to work with Timmy Mallet.

ha ha. I've never noticed that - but it's true isn't it. God, it's just dawned on me... I'm boring!

There's a huge gulf between Aaron's and Mark's total post amount.
What does that tell us?
I wonder which has had more girlfriends.
