No, nazis next year. This year focusses on like the loss of the war until the end of the Golden Age-just before the nazis. Hehe it's okay-what gave you that idea though so I can change it!?
I'm a failure at studying Weimar since seeing The History Boys, but it is a total shambles! Stresemann was just waiting there in the woodwork to crawl out once things got bad enough that he'd look like a hero.

Next year! At the moment it's only Ludendorff and the Munich Putsch that have involved Hitler.

It's no surprise or coincidence that you're studying familiar stuff, Robyn and PhQnix. Teachers only have three or four choices of subject combinations to teach you!

So there's a degree of overlap, though i'm willing to bet that I don't know anything about your course due to the narrow focus of my teachers D:

No reason, just guessed at the lowest level exams start. Sort of a risk assessment.

It's perhaps worrying that I don't get the Stresemann reference D:
Couldn't stand the History Boys though, made us grammar school boys look like posh wankers. Did explain to me why normal kids always look at me funny though.

All of them appear to involve Nazis though, this country has a major hang-up about the war.

Not so much a hang-up as a crucial turning point in the nation's fortunes, the progression of equality for women, collapse of the Empire, establishment of the welfare state, and pretty much every aspect of society since, directly or otherwise.

Stresemann fixed hyperinflation, got the French out of the Ruhr, introduced the Rentenmark and stopped the Munich Putsch with Artcile 48 of the constitution!
And ! Which version have you seen? I thought the whole point was that they're not posh-especially Rudge! I'm probably just being defensive though...

But we focus on the German aspect of the war, nothing about the English side of things. The course seems very focused on proving the evil nature of the nazis - not that i'd deny that - but it doesn't focus on the big picture. Plus next year I will have studied Nazi Germany three times in three years, there are other countries but we never even look at them.

The version with James Corden?
It's not that they were posh, rather that the play perpetuated the stereotype that we are all intellectual to the point of narcissism and we're all being buggered by our teachers.
