Alright, well, it's not something I'd considered previously, but alright, I'll stick it on the list.

Yeah that could be quite cool. Maybe instead of the little green icon there could be a little different coloured one which would indicate that you had taken part in that discussion?

All these things are reliant on not overloading the database though, and Aaron finding time to do his genius stuff, hence no promises can be made.

Go into a forum. Any forum. Next to a thread, if there have been replies which you haven't read, there'll be the little tick thing. Click it.

Well done, you avoided the potential knob gag :)

As for the green arrows - go to the active threads page... they should be next to each thread name at the start - unless of course you've read everything then there wont be any!

I'm afraid I didn't. I just couldn't resist it.

If you click it, it will take it to the first post made since you last read it.

I just thought they were a dirty mark on the screen - not the administrator. I don't know how dirty he is.

Having read that conversation I'm pretty sure eight Dungeon and Dragons players just came in their pants.

I thought you'd already made that the case?
*innocent*

More seriously >

Can we have links at the bottom of threads, after the last post, back to "Index" and/or "sub-index". saves the time scrolling back up the page if you have no reply to add.

Seems to already be the case for "Add reply".

Ta

-and Can we stop the site doing what it is right now to this post - incorporating it with my previous post if I add anything within, I think it's about, 15 mins. only thing that stops it is if someone else posts meantime.

Seems daft when you want to make two separate comments on a particular subject because you already have the option of editing.

Thanks for the suggestions... thing.

They will certainly all be taken on board and may indeed crop up in version two (aka the new site). In the meantime here are some hopefully helpful work-arounds to your issues:

If you hit the 'home' button on your keyboard (this is normally a bit to the right of the backspace, in the group with the delete button) it will whisk you back to the top of the page.

Or you can use the navigation 'crumb' trail in the bottom left (or the drop down in the bottom right). e.g. in this instance you should see a link to 'Help & Feedback' down there.

The reason for this functionality is for people who want to multiple-quote in a single post like I'm doing here (saves lots of fiddly copying, pasting and editing quote tags). Plus in theory, if you are posting within that 15 minute window it normally actually is someone adding an edit (again, saves lots of fiddily editing).

I suggest the way around this one is to use, like I have, quotes from the different posts you're responding to as a break between the posts.

Hope this helps.
