Fuck it, it's Christmas.

"Every joke is a tiny revolution," thought George Orwell. "Whatever destroys dignity, and brings down the mighty from their seats, preferably with a bump, is funny."

True story. One of my mates got really pissed at a friends house so we changed his ringtone. The following day when he was sat down with his relatives to a slap up Christmas lunch we phoned him. His ringtone was (in a girly voice):

'Ooh Steve, you've got got a really big penis. Thanks for the shag.'

How we laughed.

Why would a locked phone stop you changing a ringtone?

You can't create your own ringtones with a locked ringtone.

Ah right, I see.

So what is the ringtone you're locked on exactly? Your network's name being screamed out as loud as possible?

The sound of Roman Catholic priests sucking off choir boys?

You can only purchase specific ringtones created by your cell company. Lucky for me they had some Monty Python BUT it also cost me close to 8 bucks for 1 ringtone.
I would much rather be able to make my own like Ellie...perhaps not sheep noises but my own none the less.

Fucking hell. I honestly didn't know your networks were so backwards. Buy yourself a phone from the UK. Much better. :)

I saw some shady looking stand in the mall the other day that said "25$ to unlock your Nokia phone". On the bright side it could be legit, on the down side I could never see that phone again or the guy could break my phone trying to 'crack it'. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what to do what to do.

What's going on in Canada? Is there some weird cultural reason you can't choose your ringtones freely?

Canadians are also too nice. That always makes me suspicious of a country.

It Probably has to do with the fact that we have the largest media concentration out of any western nation. Damn lack of competition.
EDIT: Hey that's not always....wait...I'm half French...Damn it he's right.

Ive got various ones for all the random people in my life but the main one is the Theme tune to Monkey Island 3.

And you can't help being French ( or half )

Don't beat yourself up about it...

There's thousands willing to do it for you.
But seriously Canada's great even if they are a bit strange when it comes to ringtones, i mean if you cant feel it in your pocket doesn't everybody then reach for their phone at once?
