How did it go?
I sent quite a few sketches in and wonder if they got in. In particular, did they show:
*One with Amy Winehouse discussing the UN condemning the UK's celebrity drug culture.
*Andrew Marr discussing the poor UK security.
*Lily Allen talking to her doctor about depression.
I can't really remember the other ones I sent in!

I don't get a running order for NR or Treason.
I think I will have to remedy that at some point.

I had an email from Treason on Thursday saying that they'd send the running order out on Friday, but as of yet...
I signed up to the NewsRevue mailing list, but didn't start getting the running orders until a month later.

That said they all sound pretty good, any chance of a looksy.
n.b. I had nothing in either, I don't always judge their style well.

I just sent in my "Nothing Compares 2U / I Caught the Clap From You" song, not topical, but still fun, hope it gets on.

I've just had the run order for the Treason Show, and it looks like I've got about 5 sketches in. Bit annoyed I was away for the whole weekend because I missed the chance to write to the edit sheet. Does anyone know how much I'm likely to get paid, and on what timescale? Of course it doesn't really matter! - I'm just happy to have had a moderate level of success.

It's roughly £20 per sketch - roughly, probably a bit less; and usually within the week of the last performance of the run.
Well done, but bear in mind the running order will change all the way up until the actual show. 5 now, might not be 5 then.
Or it might, who knows?

Does anyone want to post the current running order, or is that 'not done' with the treason show?

Sorry to piss one every one's chips (including my own)
But it's an audition run (in which I have 10 yay!) If you notice there's a lot of double ups (e.g. 2 on Mugabe), so I reckon about a 3rd is for the chop.
n.b. £20 a skit, £30 a song, £5 a headline, bang on time into your bank (assuming the bank hasn't gone tits up in the credit crunch)
But from a professional point of view 5 is a very good figure (especially if you haven't seen the show), Marks pretty choosy, and specific about what he likes. So it's like a thumbs up from the Del Monte man, even if you don't get in the show proper.
Anychance of seeing your're efforts James?
n.b. there was an eidt sheet yesterday, and you've got a pretty good chance of getting in any of the following in my experience.
1 Headlines (but need to be very snappy)
2 Short skits (e.g. half a page, with a solid badoom tish punchline)
3 Captions (cut and paste the image into a word document, and make sure the tagline is in the message bar), n.b. they fucking love these, do half a dozen the night before and you maybe onto a winner.
4 Any thing that's ultra topical (upto the morning of the show, but obviously keep it short)
But try anything a solid funny skit will still get in even if it's a bit long.
Follow the news as well. If Robert Mugabe gets caught bumming Prince Charles on Saturday lunchtime, they may well want a skit.

Just got the latest running order I have 5 down from 10, quite happy with that.
They're also asking for songs, you've had some crackerjack songs lately.
